Dr. Nicholas Hines
Dr. Hines grew up on the outskirts of Fort Wayne. He went to Indiana University in Bloomington for his undergraduate work, and then veterinary school at Purdue University. After getting his DVM, he practiced in Bloomington, Indianapolis, and New Palestine. After all that, he and his family decided they desired a nice small town atmosphere and therefore purchased Knox Veterinary Clinic and settled in Knox in 2004. He has enjoyed his time getting to know the community and the people here ever since.
Sheila
In 2000, Sheila moved from Chicago to San Pierre with her husband Frank, son Frank III and daughter Brittany. She has always had a love of animals. Growing up she wanted to be a veterinarian. She currently has dogs, cats, birds, turtles, snakes, a lizard, a rabbit and fish. She has had many other pets: gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, degus, a squirrel, an iguana, newts, chameleons, ferrets, frogs, a deer, goats, pigs, chickens, guineas, ducks, and geese. It is easy to see why family and friends refer to her home as "the zoo."
Sheila started at Knox Veterinary Clinic in July 2004. She is committed to making each visit or call as pleasant as can be. She feels that good customer service is her top priority.
In what little spare time she has, she loves to read and make crafts. Her favorite authors are Agatha Christie and Stephen King. Crafts she has made include ornaments, jewelry, blankets, candles, latch hook rugs, crocheting various items, and scrapbooking.
Kim
Kim started working at Knox Veterinary Clinic in March 2006. She was born and raised in Michigan City. She enjoyed her time in 4-H where she was involved in rabbits for 9 years. She continued to raise and show Holland Lop rabbits for many years after that. She currently shares her home with a Bearded Dragon named "Cheddar", and an African Bullfrog named "Bruce."
Jamie Certified Pet Stylist
Jamie grew up on a farm in Plymouth. She received a degree in Animal Science in 2001. She currently has a sheep farm on the east side of Knox called Pink Ladies Dorsets. Jamie has been working in the pet industry since 2002. She graduated from grooming academy in 2006.
Zelda
Zelda's responsibilities include greeting everyone as they come into the clinic, telling everyone goodbye as they leave, or more often just laying on the counter acting indifferent to all.
